Texas State University’s NanoTRA program has been named one of 25 programs nationally by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) Center for Engineering Ethics and Society (CEES) that are exemplary in their approach to infusing ethics into the development of engineering students.(NAE) (Texas State)

  • Special section of PHIL 1320: Society and Ethics (Section 262, CRN 33268) will be offered for engineering and technology majors in Spring 2016. Instructor: Dr. Craig Hanks, one of the investigators on this project.
  • Special section of PHIL 1320: Society and Ethics (Section 005, CRN 19950) is being offered for engineering and technology majors in Fall 2015. Instructor: Dr. Craig Hanks, one of the investigators on this project.
  • Special section of PHIL 1320: Society and Ethics (Section 262, CRN 33567) was offered for engineering and technology majors in Spring 2015. Instructor: Dr. Craig Hanks, one of the investigators on this project.

  • Special section of PHIL 1320: Society and Ethics (Section 262, CRN 36271) was offered for engineering and technology majors in Spring 2014. Instructor: Dr. Craig Hanks, one of the investigators on this project.
  • Appropriate modules from 'Introduction to nanotechnology safety' and 'Principles of Risk Management for Nanoscale Materials' courses were infused in various courses at Texas State in Spring 2014. Refer Curriculum section.
  • 'TECH 4313: Principles of Risk Management of Nanoscale Materials' was offered in Spring 2014 at the UT-Tyler. This course would cover all B modules.
  • ‘Introduction to Nanotechnology Safety’ was offered online as Special Topics- TECH 4350 course in Summer II 2013 (July 8, 2013 to Aug 8, 2013) at the UT at Tyler. Instructor: Dr. Dominick Fazarro, one of the investigators on this project. This course was available for $50 to anybody who has an interest in nanotechnology safety issues.
